TIG Welding: Go With the Best Available Welding Technique

During welding, two materials are fused together, often metal or thermoplastics, by heating them to the point of melting.  The two most used methods are TIG welding gas(inert tungsten gas) and MIG (inert metal gas) welding. In the TIG process, the electrode is made of tungsten and contains a filler rod. The tungsten electrode is likewise protected by an inert gas. Electricity is often generated by a welding power source with a steady current. Using the TIG method, metal alloys such as aluminum and magnesium may be joined together. Welding using TIG takes longer than other methods, but the end product is of a higher quality.

Disadvantages:


This method of consumable electrode arc welding is much more time-consuming.
